Minister of Christian Education: Rev. Valerie Lyson Humphreys

Valerie Lyson Humphreys is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Since her ordination in 1989, Valerie has served in campus ministry, hospital chaplaincy, and pastoral ministry. She ministered in the states of Texas , Washington , and Missouri before coming to the Augusta area.

Valerie is the second of six children and grew up in Spokane, Washington, before graduating from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1985, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California, with a Master of Divinity in 1988.  Valerie began working at Covenant in June 2003.

Director of Music:  Jason Maynard

Jason Maynard earned a Bachelor of Music degree at Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music in Berea, Ohio. In May of 2003, Jason earned a Master of Music in Organ Performance at Cleveland State University. Jason grew up in a Presbyterian Church in Erie, Pennsylvania and  held a variety of church music positions (including Director of Music) while pursuing his education. Jason began serving at Covenant in July 2003.

Church Secretary: Judy Strogonoff

Judy Strogonoff has been with Covenant since 2002.  She and her family live in Grovetown.

Melissa Mann has been the Financial Secretary for Covenant since 2005.  She grew up in Covington, GA and is a graduate of Clemson University.  She is married with 2 children.

Rosa Sparks has served as custodian of Covenant since 2001.
