Come experience "A Sacred Song Service" on Sunday, June 13, at 7 pm, in the sanctuary. 

For more than one hundred years, Chautauqua has held a vespers-style service on Sunday evenings in the summer.  The services, led by the 125-member Chatauqua choir, incorporate a variety of scripture readings, prayers, anthems and hymns.  We invite you to experience this special tradition, as Jared Jacobsen, Organist and Coordinator of Worship and Sacred Music at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, New York, shares it with the Augusta community.

Jared Jacobsen holds degrees in keyboard performance from Westminster College and the University of Arizona.  He has performed throughout the United States, and in England, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.  In 1988, he was invited to the Vatican by Pope John Paul II to be an American delegate to the historic First World Congress on Church Music.
