God has blessed us with the gift of children who teach us about ourselves, the depth of love, and our loving Creator. We hope that Covenant will be a place where your child learns the stories of our faith, experiences the love of this particular community of faith, and grows closer to God.
Worship nursery offers your child a caring introduction to God’s community. Childcare is offered every Sunday morning from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in room 6. The nursery room has age-appropriate toys and books for young children, and our childcare workers are paid staff.
Preschool Sunday School
Ages 3-Kindergarten // Room 4
The preschool Sunday School class uses the God Loves Me storybook series as its curriculum. The series is designed to help our little ones learn about God’s love through Bible stories, activities, and prayers.
Elementary Sunday School
1st-5th Grades // Room 103
The elementary school Sunday School class uses Feasting on the Word curriculum, which recognizes that children in learn in different ways. Each session includes a Bible story (often the same story you’ll hear with the sermon in worship), games, art projects, and activities that help children engage with God’s word and grow in faith.
Children’s Bulletins & Worship Bags
We know it can be hard for kids to sit still in worship, and we want to help. There are children’s bulletins available in the back of the sanctuary. These bulletins usually correspond with the sermon Scripture, and they include word puzzles, games, and coloring sections.
Pick up a worship bag for your child in the back of the sanctuary. Each tote bag has crayons, a clipboard and coloring pages, and other activities and materials to keep your child’s hands busy and to help your child engage in worship.
Ages 4 – 2nd Grade // Room 4
We believe that worship is the most important activity of the Christian community, and we also appreciate that children and adults worship differently. Children’s Church is an opportunity for children ages 4 through 2nd grade to worship together after the Time with Children in the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Church members and volunteers lead children in their own worship service, which includes a Bible story, prayers, and songs each week.
Fellowship Events for Children & Their Families
Getting together with our friends is the best. We have fellowship events for children and their families throughout the year. Think popsicles on the playground, putt-putt golf, and movie nights at the church. Information about these events will be available in the weekly email and church newsletter.
Children’s Music Programs
Our Children’s Music Programs are designed to teach basic rhythm, intonation, presence and grow into simple harmonies. You can find out about all the ways our children learn and share their musical gifts through the varied choirs that are offered by going to the music page.
