Covenant Congregational Care Ministries provide care, concern, prayer and support for families and individuals in special need and at various stages, places and circumstances of life and to engage the congregation in service and compassion for one another. The focus of the Congregational Care Ministry is to respond to the care and support needs of our members and friends and to engage the congregation in the ongoing spiritual, physical, emotional and relational expression of living faithfully within the Body of Christ.

Some of the ways we provide care are:

  • Reconnecting with inactive members
  • Supporting new members
  • Prayer ministry
  • Informal Support Groups
  • Visitation to shut-ins and hospital bound
  • Assistance with specific needs
  • Comfort meals
  • Nursing Home and Homebound visitation
  • Flower Delivery
  • Grief and crisis support
  • Cards and phone calls Care packages to college students and deployed military.

Prayer is a powerful thing, for those receiving prayer as well as those offering prayer. Prayer can bring healing and comfort and the more time we spend in prayer, the closer to God we become. A special small group of our Covenant family meets regularly to lift up prayers. If you have a prayer request, you may contact the church office by phone [(706) 733-0513] or email. A Prayer Request card is also located in the pew racks and may be placed in the offering plate during Sunday worship.

PRAYER ROOM

on the lower level of the Education wing, we have created a room specifically designated for prayer and meditation. It is open and available to anyone seeking a quite space to reflect, meditate, listen, and pray. Our simple guidelines for this space are placed on the door as you enter.  You will find prayer aids, and stations available as you prepare and pray.
