Children’s Ministries at Covenant Presbyterian in Augusta focuses on Faith Formation classes are available for all ages each Sunday during the school year as well as special events throughout the year.
Childcare is available all morning and other times as needed in room 12 for children up to 3 years old.
Children’s Church is offered during the 11:00 worship service for children 3 years old through 2nd grade for those who are more comfortable with a time of fellowship and play while their parents listen to the sermon. We have many wonderful volunteers who rotate and take turns leading the children with a snack, prayer time and play time. See below for an updated volunteer schedule.
Preschool Sunday School class is for PK4 and Kindergarten. Using the denominational We Believe curriculum, we learn stories of the people of God and about God’s love for them and us.
Younger Elementary Sunday School Class is geared for children in the first and second grades. This class uses the Feasting on The Word Sunday school curriculum and will have special events on the first Sunday of each month.
Older Elementary Sunday School Class begins each Sunday with their ritual of writing in their Gratitude Journal. They spend this time focusing on the gifts they have received from God during the week. This group is also using the Feasting on The Word curriculum, but at times will take a break to do something special like create a stop-action movie depicting one of the Bible stories they have learned, or share a time of fellowship and fun to celebrate God’s many gifts in our lives.
Vacation Bible School is usually scheduled for the mornings during the second week of July We spend the week learning a Bible lesson through integrative activities that include games, songs, snacks, skits, and other exciting activities.
Children’s Music Programs
