Why Should I Support Covenant?

Your financial support ensures that Covenant Presbyterian Church will remain a place of mission, hope, and faith for generations to come. There are a variety of ways to help Covenant to be the hands of Christ in the world, including a one- time gift or by making an annual pledge to the Annual Stewardship Campaign. You can also support Covenant through a gift to our Memorial and Capital funds.

How Do I Give?

You can contribute during worship by placing your gift in the offering plate on Sunday mornings, mailing your support to the church, giving online, or having your gift transferred directly from your bank account each month through your bank’s bill pay feature or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). All gifts are tax-deductible and statements of your giving are provided.

To mail your support, set up an EFT account or for more information, contact Linda-Jean Jay, our Financial Secretary at 706.733.0513 or you may email her here.

Mail may be sent to Linda-Jean (LJ) at:

What are Memorials and Capital Funds?

The Memorials and Capital Funds of Covenant Presbyterian Church give you an opportunity to continue the missions you cherish. Reaching out and extending our blessings beyond our own lives is an intrinsic part of our faith and stewardship. We are the hands and feet of God while on earth and our gifts put faith into action forever.

Gifts may be made in the form of cash or assets. These funds also provide an opportunity for thoughtful estate planning, using a variety of tools, including wills, paid up life insurance policies, appreciated securities, deferred payment gift annuities, charitable remainder annuity trusts, IRAs, and 401K retirement plans. These arrangements often create tax benefits and may reduce income and estate taxes. Tax savings will vary according to each person’s financial situation.

The Capital Fund

In 2006, the members of Covenant embarked on a project to renovate the sanctuary and to build new offices and an activities room. We have also had major work completed on our organ and carillon. Having faith in God’s ability to turn a small basket of bread and fish into enough food to feed thousands, we committed to these projects. Having faith that God will provide through the generosity of the people of Covenant we are hoping to pay off our loan early.

Memorial Funds

Memorial Funds use both the principal and interest to support your specific personal missions or one time projects that you designate. For example Memorial Funds have been used to upgrade our office computers, create this website, upgrade our playground, provide support to missions in Augusta and around the world. A donor may designate how a gift will be used or may make a gift with no restrictions.
