SERVICE TO OTHERS

Covenant regularly participates in hosting homeless families in our church four weeks every year, through the city-wide Interfaith Hospitality Network.We provide Meals on Wheels every Saturday morning, Covenant members also staff the Soup Kitchen every fourth Tuesday. Several times a year we have the Bloodmobile come to the church. Every June, we have a good contingent of our members who travel to Piedras Negras, Mexico, to help build houses for homeless people in Mexico. We also have a regular crew which works in the Habitat for Humanity ministry here in Augusta.

EDUCATION 

Church School is offered for all ages from 9:45 to 10:45 AM every Sunday, with a nursery provided.

MUSIC MINISTRY 

ADULTS - The adult choir, a group of about 28 singers, meets on Wednesday nights at 7:30. We perform all types of music. We welcome any who wish to join us. The adult choir sings for the 11:00 service.

YOUTH - The youth choir meets on Sunday afternoon at 5:15 preceding Youth Fellowship, and is comprised of both middle school and high school age youth.

THE ADULT HANDBELL CHOIR - The Adult Handbell Choir rehearses on Sunday evenings at 6:30 and plays 2 to 3 times a year in the worship service and on special occasions such as Christmas Eve.

THE WEEKDAY SCHOOL

Our Weekday Preschool is one of Augusta's first early childhood programs, offering "early education in a nurturing Christian environment." We offer half day programs for children from 4 months to Kindergarten, from 9 AM to 1 PM, Monday through Friday, September through May. We also offer a special three morning a week program in the summer time. For more information, please call our Director, Andrea Butt at 733-8102.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP

Programs for all ages are scheduled from 6:30 to 7:15 PM. Childcare is available.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN

The Hope circle meets on the last Monday of the month at 7:00pm in the parlor.  The Faith circle meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the parlor at 10:30am.

PRESBYTERIAN MEN

Men of the church will meet each 2nd and 4th Tuesday at noon for lunch, fellowship, prayer, and growth. The lunch is provided by the French Market Grille, and the cost is $5.00.

CONGREGATIONAL CARE

Covenant cooperates with Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church  in hosting a communion service at Brandon Wilde every first Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 PM.  In addition ministers and elders take communion to our home-bound members quarterly. Our "Ladies for Lunch" group meets regularly, and our Salt Shaker ministry usually runs from January through May of each year.

An intercessory prayer ministry, called "The Praying Hands," meets monthly. The Covenant Friends ministry has one member assigned to a member who is either home-bound or less than mobile, with regular monthly contacts. The Good Samaritan ministry coordinates taking food to families who are facing some emergency situation, such as a hospitalization or death. Covenant also has a Wedding Coordinators ministry to help at rehearsals and weddings, in addition to a Bereavement Committee which provides services to families who have experienced a death.
